Wine Capital of Canada Festival Weekend


Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1st mark the Wine Capital of Canada Festival weekend in Oliver, BC. This weekend is unlike any other. With two days celebrating all the bounty and beauty the South Okanagan has to offer. The fall grape harvest is in full swing, the salmon have returned to the Okanagan River to spawn and the days are still long and temperate.

Saturday, September 30th

 Garlic Festival at Hester Creek
11 am – 5 pm

 Local garlic growers, artisan crafters, food carts, live entertainment and    more! This family friendly event is in support of the Oliver Elementary  School Farm to Table lunch program. Admission is by donation.


Cask & Keg 
6 pm – 10 pm

This evening party will feature live music from The Big Easy funk Ensemble with breweries, cideries, distilleries and food trucks.  It will be a great party. To learn more and get tickets at

 Sunday, October 1st

Baldy Marathon
Starting 8 m – finishing at FOG
Don’t worry, it’s not on the mountain!  Join us for a new kind of adventure Sunday, October 1st.  Choose from the option of a Marathon, 20K, 10K or Kids Race on our one-of-a-kind course along the Okanagan River.  Let the soothing sounds of the water, mature trees, and singing bird keep you zen as you head south towards picturesque Osoyoos Lake.  The course is almost entirely, flat limited time spent on roads or pavement. What more can you ask for in a foot race? How about starting and finishing at a world-renowned wine festival!

Festival of the Grape 
11:30 am – 5 pm
With over 50 wineries, live music from Mazacote, food trucks, merchant market and kid zone this event is the highlight of the weekend. Participate in the Grape Stomp of just enjoy the festivities. For more information check out our website
