Many of the wineries in the area offer guided tours of their facilities. Learn how these great wines are made and stored. Orchard Hill Estate Cidery and Fruit Stand also has tours and tastings of their unique fruit cider wine production. Please call ahead to make arrangements. Various local farmers are proud to show case their produce. Visit Covert Farms for a farm tour with produce market, tasting room and luncheon bistro.
There are many exciting driving routes through the area that will allow you to tour various wine growing regions, wineries, historical town sites, artist’s studios and the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory. If you get a little hungry along the way there are plenty of roadside stands with fresh produce for you to enjoy. If you feel like stretching your legs, discover the history of downtown Oliver, by taking a self-guided walking tour of the historical buildings. Pick up a brochure at the museum to help you take a step back in time.
